Once you have that info the chokes should be tested. The barrel should show you the shot size and manufacturer that it prefers. News papers are cheap and will provide the data you are looking for. If you do have time to complete the test make sure you have all of the chokes on hand. We spent most of a day testing the barrels for patterns and swapping the chokes from barrel to barrel. We shot from a bench to make it consistent. A news paper on a large piece of card board at 25 yards with a center aiming point. Purchase a box of 4 and 5 size shot from the 3 manufacturers mentioned above. We had no custom choke tubes during the testing.
